Pre wedding shoots: Some examples from 2010

Before each wedding I meet up with wedding couples, sometimes at their wedding venue for a 'pre wedding shoot'. This photoshoot is a great time for me to get to know the couple a little better, see how they feel in front of the camera and discuss the ideas we could do on the day. I try and give the couple a short 'posing lesson' - It is not as scary as it sounds! On your wedding day the last thing you want is to look like you just 'met at a bus stop' so instead you can practice having your photograph taken whilst having a proper cuddle! x Here is a sneak preview of a few shots from some pre wedding shoots in 2010.
When the pre wedding shoot happens at the actual wedding venue it means we can have a walk around the grounds together and note a few good spots for photos - This way, on your wedding day you dont walk for ages (in your heels) finding places you have not seen at your reception venue.

I try not to cancel a pre wedding shoot whatever the weather! As you would not cancel your wedding if it was raining or snowing! You just have to find new ways to use the landscape or the interior of the building.

Most pre wedding shoots now take place during the week - it means venues are more available for us to have a good walk around & not interupt and event/wedding at the weekend. And from now till September I am booked every weekend!
